This Founders Weekend, the Gettysburg College community gathered to celebrate the campus' rich history of preparing students to become leaders and active citizens in their professions, communities, nation, and the world. The ceremonies also recognized many loyal and generous benefactors who have contributed financially to safeguard Gettysburg's mission. View photos on Flickr.
On April 5, students signed a thank you banner outside of Servo for the College's generous donors. The banner collected hundreds of signatures and messages of appreciation.
On April 6, the women's lacrosse team defeated Swarthmore 13-8. Watch senior Lindsey Robinson's bounce pass to junio Kelsey Markiewics.
On April 7, Founders Day, the festive weekend concluded with the Journey to Remember, a walk to the Eternal Light Peace Memorial (Peace Light). The ceremony included brief remarks by John Rudy '07 and President Janet Morgan Riggs '77.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
